JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Firefighters from the Jackson Township Fire Department came to the rescue of a deer stuck in a fence in a backyard on Saturday.

Firefighters responded just before 8 a.m. to a home where a doe was stuck in a fence.

With assistance from the Jackson Police Department, firefighters covered her with a blanket to keep her calm and prevent her from further harming herself or the firefighters.

One of the firefighters used a hydraulic rescue tool to free the doe from the fence.

After the fence was spread, another firefighter lifted her out from the fence. The deer was weak and disoriented, but after a few moments, the doe was able to get up and run away.
