PERRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Officers from the Perry Township Police Department in Stark County arrested two people during an alleged burglary in progress earlier this week.

David J. Longoria, 21, has been charged with burglary and possessing criminal tools.

Grace D. Porrini, 19, has been charged with burglary.

Authorities say they caught the two allegedly burglarizing a home in the 3400 block of Bailey St. NW around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Police responded after receiving a call about two unknown individuals breaking into the residence.

Police are reviewing similar incidents in the area. Additional charges are expected, authorities said.

"This case is a great example of the teamwork by responding officers and our community. What started off as a simple phone call to our department by a citizen, led to the arrest of the above two individuals, solving multiple burglaries," said Perry Township Police Chief Michael T. Pomesky in a news release.
