North Canton police are investigating a report of a suspicious man who allegedly threatened a middle school student while she was walking home from school.

According to police, the North Canton Middle School student was walking in the area of Portage Street NW and Parkview Avenue NW around 3 p.m. Tuesday when a man driving a white SUV asked her several times "what time it was."

The girl tried to ignore him, police said, but the driver then yelled at her and made a threatening remark.

The student ran home and told her parents. The man left the area.

The suspicious driver is described as an older white male with a gray mustache and a full head of gray hair. He was wearing a long sleeve yellow shirt and was described as clean shaven, other than the mustache.

His vehicle was described as a white, small 4-door SUV.

Anyone who has experienced a similar incident is asked to call police at 330-499-5911.
