ALLIANCE, Ohio — A mother from Alliance has been charged with inducing panic.

The principal of Northside Immediate School was shown a screenshot of a disturbing Facebook post, threatening harm to the school Tuesday around 9 a.m.

Police said the mother posted the following on her Facebook page:

"I'm walking up and I'm blowing down that expletive (f******) school. They expletive (f*****) with the wrong one."

Another post claimed her daughter was a victim of bulling and that Alliance failed her.

"The safety and well being of all of our students is our first priority, so if you make a threat, we have to take you at your word," superintendent Jefferey Talbert said.

Several officers rushed to the school.

Talbert said all students and staff were told to shelter in place for three and a half hours.

The school day continued, but no one could enter or leave the building.

Around noon, Alliance police arrested the woman at a home on Linden Avenue, which is not close to the school.

Talbert said the district monitors social media and he's thankful the school was alerted to the threatening post.

"I would encourage everyone if they have an issue with how their son or daughter are being treated at school to reach out to that school principal. We have procedures in place that will help you. Social media is not the spot to get a response," Talbert said.

The superintendent said there was no evidence that bullying took place at the school.

Stark County Children Services said the agency took custody of her five children in December after she was charged with child endangering in a separate case.

News 5 has decided not to name the mother to protect the daughter.
