Three men attempted to rob an Akron home Monday night while three children were inside the residence, according to police.
A resident living in the 1300 block of Dewitt Drive told police at around 10:30 p.m. three males entered the home through a south side bedroom window.
Once inside, one of the males, armed with a handgun, demanded the 18-year-old resident gather up the children and get into a bedroom.
The unknown males ransacked the house looking for car keys to a 2017 Chevy Impala that was parked in the driveway.
They were unsuccessful and fled the home. All three males are believed to be between 15 and 20 years old.
