SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A Springfield Township man was arrested and charged with rape involving a child, according to police.
Keith Morris, 48, of Shadybrook Drive, was charged with one count of rape involving a 7-year-old child, police said in a press release.
The rape allegations surfaced after the 7-year-old victim's parents noticed signs of physical sexual abuse.
Morris, whom police say is a family friend of the victim, was questioned by detectives and admitted to the allegations.
He was booked into the Summit County Jail where he is currently being held on a $1 million bond.
Detectives are investigating the possibility of other victims and are asking the public if anyone has any information to contact the Springfield Township Police at 330-784-1609.
