COPLEY, Ohio — Copley police are investigating a shootout between two groups of people at a restaurant parking lot.
The shootout took place Monday around 7:45 p.m. in the parking lot of Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse.
According to police, two groups of people were involved in a confrontation inside the restaurant.
When one couple finished their meal and left the restaurant, a person from the other group was waiting in the parking lot for them with a gun.
Police said the couple fired back at the person.
Multiple gunshots were exchanged between the group, but they both fled from the scene before police arrived.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
At least four cars in the parking lot were damaged by gunfire.
