MACEDONIA, Ohio — A Cuyahoga Falls man has been charged Tuesday for a crash that injured a Macedonia police officer on Christmas Eve.
James Marshall, 56, was charged with aggravated vehicular assault, according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.
On Christmas Eve, Marshall struck a Macedonia police cruiser that was at the scene of a separate crash on I-271 north of the Ledge Road Bridge, according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.
The officer was injured when Marshall rear ended the cruiser.
At the time of the crash, Marshall was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence.
Marshall is currently booked into the Summit County Jail.
