WADSWORTH, Ohio — Medina Creative Housing is taking the financial burden away for local girls who are looking to buy their prom dresses.

Prom is considered a rite of passage in high school, but many girls struggle to afford a dress to wear to the dance.

PromGirl listed an average prom dress price range of $100 to $600 on their website and according to a 2015 survey from Visa, American families were spending an average of about $919 on their prom-goers.

Medina Creative Housing is cutting those costs by accepting prom dress donations and selling all dresses for $25.

Prom dress donations can be made now through March 20 at Creatively Tagged Boutique at 122 High St. in Wadsworth.

Medina Creative Housing is also accepting prom shoe and accessory donations in addition to prom dresses.
