A man was arrested in December for having thousands of videos and pictures of child pornography in his apartment.
In December 2015, the Summit County Sheriff's Office was contacted by the Pinal County Sheriff's Office in regards to a child exploitation investigation.
Pinal County said its department discovered images of child porn were possibly being transmitted from a residence in Coventry Township. Summit County then began its own investigation.
On Dec. 17, a search warrant was executed at the Coventry Township residence. Police said evidence obtained at the location led officers to an apartment in Barberton. A search was conducted which resulted in computers, storage devices, and pieces of clothing being seized as evidence.
Curtis Burden, 19, of Barberton, was arrested and charged with pandering obscenity involving a minor. Police learned Burden had thousands of videos and images of suspected child porn in the apartment.
Burden was booked at Summit County Jail.
After further investigation, Burden's roommate Matthew Barlow was arrested Thursday and charged with pandering obscenity involving a minor. Barlow, 33, of Barberton, was also booked at Summit County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing and further charges may be pending.
