AKRON, Ohio — Beginning Thursday, the Summit County Fiscal Office will mail real estate tax bills after adjusting property tax values through the 2020 reappraisal process, according to News 5 media partner Akron Beacon Journal.

The bills are due Feb. 26, regardless of whether property owners intend to contest the new values. A 10% late fee will be added to all bill but active-duty military.

Property owners can pay online here or by calling 1-800-272-9829 and entering the code 4596 when prompted.

Online or phone payments are encouraged. All mail should be postmarked by Feb. 26 to avoid a late fee, the fiscal office said.

Anyone with questions can call the fiscal office at 330-643-2641.
