Two people were found dead inside a Hudson home Saturday, a city official said.
According to communications director Jody Roberts, police received a call at 12:19 p.m. from a home on the 7600 block of Ravenna Road. Authorities said the decedents' son called 911.
Upon arrival, authorities found two people dead in the home. The victims are two adults -- one male and one female and were identified as 53-year-old Stephen Bice and his wife, 42-year-old wife Kristi.
Police said the preliminary investigation revealed the incident to be an apparent murder-suicide and that Stephen Bice first shot his wife and then himself.
Roberts said this was the city's first homicide since 2009.
Officials have not released further details and continue to investigate.
