BATH TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Police say they are investigating a massage parlor in Bath Township they allege is being used as a front for prostitution.
According to Bath Township police, Tranquility Massage, located in a commercial tenant suite at 47 N. Cleveland Massillon Road, was the subject of a weeks-long surveillance investigation where observed activity was consistent with the business being used as an illicit prostitution front.
Officers who observed the business only witnessed males entering and exiting the premises.
According to the news release, officers witnessed female employees walking to and from the business location, but not leaving the premises for extended periods of time.
Deputies from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and the Bath Township Police Department executed search warrants on Thursday. Additional evidence including cash was seized.
Police said felony charges potentially of compelling prostitution remain pending against a male and female connected with the business.
