Portions of Newton Street in Akron will be closed starting Monday for approximately a week due to sewer repair, police said.
The closures on Newton Street will be between North Case and Eastland avenues to Mack Street.
The repair work will be performed near the overhead railroad bridge.
DETOURS:
- Eastbound: Eastland Avenue, Tonawanda Avenue, Brittain Road to Newton Street
- Westbound: North Case Avenue, East Market Street, Goodyear Boulevard and Pioneer Street
Local access will still be available to the construction closure, from the Brittain Road end on the east side of the closure.
