Deputies responded to a report of a man taking off his clothing in the backyard of a Coventry Township home; a resident at another home said she pushed him out of the window after he tried to get into the home.

At about 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded to Chaffin Road in regards to the report of the man removing his clothing and masturbating, according to a news release. Deputies located and identified the man as 49-year-old Daniel R. Withrow.

After the investigation, it was determined that Withrow tried to break into an East Waterloo Road apartment at about 6 a.m. that morning and was confronted by the 68-year-old resident, the release states. He fled, but returned to the same apartment about 20 minutes later.

Withrow opened the window and tried to get into the home, officials stated. The woman pushed him out of the window and he fled on foot. It was discovered that Withrow intended to have sex with the resident, officials said. As he was fleeing, he was noticed by another resident and apprehended by deputies.

Withrow is charged with burglary, voyeurism and public indecency. He was booked into the Summit County Jail.
