Cuyahoga Falls man arrested for growing 'shrooms

A Cuyahoga Falls man is facing charges for allegedly growing 'magic mushrooms' in his home. 

Summit County Sheriff's Office drug unit detectives found a Psilocybin mushroom grow at a home in the 2000 block of Stone St. Tuesday.

Authorities said they found 1 pound of the drug, also known as 'psychedelic mushrooms,' as well as three loaded handguns and a loaded shotgun. 

Jack Kennedy, 29, was arrested for trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs. 

Additional charges are pending. 

The Summit County Drug Unit is comprised of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies including the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Summit County Prosecutor’s Office, FBI, DEA, Ohio State Highway Patrol,  Tallmadge, Barberton, Copley, Stow, New Franklin, Reminderville, Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Springfield and University of Akron police departments.
