A Portage Lakes Career Center student is facing charges after he allegedly said he was going to bring a gun to school and shoot another student.
According to the Summit County Sheriff's Office, the 17-year-old made the statement Thursday in front of a teacher and some other students. Then, when the bell rang at the end of the day, authorities say the teen fled school grounds.
The 17-year-old was later located and arrested on a charge of making terroristic threats.
He was taken to the Summit County juvenile detention center.
