The Summit County Sheriff's Office, with help from the county Adult Probation Department and Ohio Adult Parole Authority, recently conducted address verifications for registered sex offenders that live in the county.

More than 150 residences were checked during a one-day operation, the sheriff's office reported.

The sheriff's office said it learned four offenders had moved and failed to report their change of address, and others needed further investigation.

The Summit County Sheriff's Office said it is continuously working to locate and validate the residency of more than 1,000 registered sex offenders in the county.
