An Akron math teacher is on paid administrative leave following a complaint of alleged inappropriate sexual behavior.

An Akron Public Schools spokesperson said the Firestone High School math teacher was removed from the school Monday after the complaint was made.

The 41-year-old teacher was hired in January 2008.

News 5 is not naming him because he has not been charged with a crime.

According to our media partners at the Akron Beacon Journal, Akron Police Lt. Rick Edwards said the case has been turned over to police in Munroe Falls, where the incident “apparently occurred.”
