GREEN, Ohio — A 55-year-old woman who walked into traffic on I-77 last week after she was involved in a single-car crash has died, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office.

Jennifer Aboutorabi, 55, of Green, died on Friday, May 17, at a local hospital, the medical examiner confirmed.

On May 14 at about 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to I-77 north in the City of Green after Aboutorabi was involved in a crash.

According to the sheriff's office, she exited the vehicle and was interviewed by deputies about the crash. A deputy then spoke to other drivers who witnessed the crash.

While the deputy spoke to other witnesses, Aboutorabi walked into the right lane and was hit by an incoming Dodge Ram truck, according to the sheriff.

The medical examiner's office has not yet released the cause of her death at this time. The autopsy results are pending.
