Newcomerstown police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred on Monday morning.
Around 7:24 a.m., officers responded to an unresponsive man lying in front of a yard on the 500 block of Tuscarawas Avenue.
The man was found with a gunshot wound to the back. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the victim will be released pending positive identification and notification of the victim's family.
The shooting is currently under investigation.
