Three people are dead after a motorcycle and car crashed and ignited in Canaan Township Saturday.

Ronald J. Pesicek, 73, of Wooster was flown from the scene by Metro Life Flight to Cleveland Metro Hospital where he was later declared dead, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Sylvia P. Pesicek, 70, of Wooster died. The Wayne County Coroner transported her to Wooster Community Hospital.

The motorcycle driver died at the scene and was transported to Wooster Community Hospital. The driver's identity has not been officially confirmed.

Ronald Pesicek was driving west on Fulton Road in a Lexus when he stopped at a stop sign at State route 3. He started to turn south on State route 3 when a motorcycle driver riding north on State route 3 struck the left side of the Lexus at around 6:52 p.m., according to highway patrol.

Authorities said the motorcycle contact forced the Lexus to roll onto its right side where it stopped. Then the car and motorcycle caught fire.

The crash is under investigation.
