The National Park Service is seeking help in identifying an assault victim found in Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
Park rangers received a report about a victim found in a field near Akron-Peninsula and Northhampton Roads in Boston Township Sunday morning.
The woman, who's around 18 years old, is in critical condition at a hospital. Richfield police took the 911 call. In it, the caller indicated that the woman may have been shot.
"She's in a local hospital in critical condition, last we heard, and we're not being more specific about the nature of the injuries because it's an on-going investigation," National Park Service spokesperson Jennie Vasarhelyi told newsnet5.com.
She is described as African American, about 110 to 120 pounds and roughly 5-feet 4-inches tall. She was wearing light blue jean shorts, a pink tank top and white sneakers.
