Statewide Endangered Alert issued for missing Youngstown woman

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — An Endangered Missing Adult Alert has been issued by the Youngstown Police Department for a missing 77-year-old woman who drove away from her home towards her daughter’s house in Pennsylvania and never arrived.

Ruby Lee Hopson, 77, left her home Sunday at around 11 p.m. Hopson never arrived and called her daughter from Baltimore. Police said she got back on I-70 traveling west to Pennsylvania but has not been heard from.

She is described as having black hair and stands at 5 feet, 2 inches. Her daughter said she suffers from dementia.

Law enforcement officers are concerned for her safety.

The vehicle involved is a black 2014 Chevy Cruze with an Ohio plate number HLW6505.

Anyone with information is asked to dial 911.
