A Youngstown State University student is dead after collapsing Tuesday while playing basketball.
According to WFMJ in Youngstown, Eric Stone of Newton Falls collapsed in the Andrews Student Recreation and Wellness Center.
He was transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center where he was pronounced dead.
Stone was a junior Electrical Engineering major. He had a 4.0 grade point average and was president of the YSU chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
