AVON, Ohio — Avon High School celebrated the Class of 2020 in a socially distanced fashion Friday evening.

The school deployed buses on 20 separate routes to make stops at all 332 graduating students’ houses.

A driver and a single member of the Avon Teachers Association rode on each bus. The ATA member exited the bus at each stop and placed a yard sign celebrating the senior as the student and their family watched from their home.

To maintain social distancing guidelines, no contact was had between the teachers and students. Instead, waves and a “congratulations” were exchanged.
