Broadview Heights police asking for name suggestions for new K-9

BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Broadview Heights Police Department has received a new K-9 and wants the public’s help in naming him.

The department acquired the K-9 from Excel K-9 in Hiram. He will be trained in narcotics detection, tracking and building searches.

His handler, Officer Giles, will start training with him in May and will be ready for duty in July. Police said he should be ready to meet residents at Home Days.
