CLEVELAND — Today is National Golden Retriever Day. To celebrate, the Cleveland Clinic shared an adorable video of its Children’s Hospital's first canine caregiver, Kid.

Kid is a golden retriever that was given to the hospital by the Joy in Childhood Foundation. He completed over a year of training before starting his job as a canine caregiver, according to Cleveland Clinic. Some of Kid’s duties include accompanying patients through long tests, procedures and infusions, as well as working as a walking companion for children who want to get out of bed and move around during their stay.

All golden retrievers should be celebrated. But this one especially.
