AKRON, Ohio — An emotional moment at an Akron Children’s Hospital facility brought tears to the eyes of those who witnessed it, and will likely bring tears to your eyes too.
19-year-old Matt Driscoll had been receiving chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia for three-and-a-half years.
On Friday, Akron Children’s Hosptial shared a video of Driscoll ringing a bell at the Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders, signifying the end of his treatment.

Driscoll triumphantly walked through a line of family and faculty members, who were there cheering him on, to proudly, and loudly, ring the bell.
Akron Children’s Hospital wished Driscoll a bright and healthy future as he begins his new life free of leukemia.
