14-year-old girl missing since 2022 found by U.S. Marshals

CLEVELAND — The U.S. Marshals Service has located a teenager who went missing in 2021, was later found and then went missing again in 2022.

News 5 first reported on the girl in 2021 when she went missing at age 12.

According to authorities, the girl was reported missing on July 9, 2022, when she was 14 years old and in the custody of Cuyahoga County Job and Family Services. Her whereabouts were unknown until Wednesday when she was found in the 2200 block of Jermain Drive in Columbus in the company of a 41-year-old man.

Authorities said the man is under investigation by local police and charges are pending.

No further information has been released.
