A brush fire had closed a stretch of Interstate 95 northbound and southbound in northern Indian River County, Florida on Monday morning. The highway reopened at 8:15 a.m.
Delays are occurring from Fellsmere Road to the Indian River/Brevard County line in both directions. This is about a 15- to 20-mile stretch.
The helicopter for Scripps station WPTV in West Palm Beach flew over the area at 6:40 a.m. and spotted a large amount of smoke blowing onto the interstate.
