Donald Trump Jr., the son of President Donald Trump, attacked the testimony of Christine Blasey Ford on Thursday as she testified in an open hearing about her allegations of sexual assault against Supreme Court justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

While Rachel Mitchell, a prosecutor questioning Blasey Ford on behalf of Senate Republicans, asked Ford about her fear of flying and the delay it may have caused in the investigation into her claims, Trump Jr. weighed, saying it seemed "weird."

"I’m no psychology professor but it does seem weird to me that someone could have a selective fear of flying. Can’t do it to testify but for vacation, well it’s not a problem at all," Trump Jr. tweeted.

Blasey Ford did, in fact, fly to Washington to testify. She stated that while she doesn't prefer flying, she will fly if needed.

Trump Jr. also retweeted supporters questioning Blasey Ford's memory. Blasey Ford admitted she may have had lapses in memory, but was firm in her accusation that it was Kavanaugh who assaulted her and not someone else.

Trump Jr.'s father has stayed quiet on social media throughout Thursday. President Trump said at a Wednesday press conference that he was interested in hearing Blasey Ford's testimony and would try and watch it if possible.
