NEWARK, N.J. — Newark Liberty International Airport has reopened after closing Saturday morning for an emergency .
All arrivals and departures were stopped Saturday morning due to an "airport emergency," according to a tweet from the airport. The airport reopened around 9:40 a.m. Saturday.
Travelers are encouraged to check with airlines before coming to the airport and should expect delays.
Additional information on the emergency have not been released.
