The Pinellas Park (Fla.) Police Department arrested a 16-year-old teenager after shooting and killing a homeless man he asked to buy him beer.
According to police, 16-year-old Jason Allen Olivo-Smith approached 44-year-old John Asch, who was homeless and lived near Kenneth City, at a convenience store on Monday. Olivo-Smith gave Asch some money to buy him beer.
Instead of purchasing the beer, Asch rode away on his bicycle with the money. That's when, Olivo-Smith chased after him and shot him in the head with a handgun.
Police said, Asch was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries on Wednesday.
Olivo-Smith was booked into the Pinellas County Juvenile Assessment Center on Thursday Night. He is being charged with first-degree murder.
