Clark says "People vs OJ Simpson" show accurate

Former prosecutor Marcia Clark told Larry King earlier this week that the "American Crime Story: The People vs O.J. Simpson' series was so accurate, "It's painful to watch."

The show premiered on the FX network in January, and has rekindled America's interest in one of the world's most infamous trials. Simpson was accused of killing his wife Nicole Simpson Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994. In 1995, Simpson was acquitted of all charges by a jury.

"How is that possible (that it's accurate), they are not going to and they did," Clark said. "They got the big issues right, it is painful to watch... It was beautiful."

The Simpson case gained national headlines for more than a year, as Simpson had gathered what was described as a "Dream Team" of attorneys to defend him from the charges. The trial made household names of attorneys Johnnie Cochran and Robert Shapiro, Judge Lance Ito and Clark.

Clark's character, played by Sarah Paulson, has been more of a focus in recent episodes. The show has explored how the sudden fame Clark experienced during the trail affected her personal and professional life.

"“I didn’t know that [show director Ryan Murphy] would bring out the sexism aspect of it — no one had,” Clark said. “No one had ever looked at that. I never thought that anyone would to be honest with you.”

The full interview airs Friday at 2 p.m. on Ora.TV's website.
