82-year-old man killed, 2 teens injured in wrong-way crash on I-90

DANBURY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — An 82-year-old man was killed and two others were injured Friday night in a wrong-way car crash in Ottawa County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 11:17 p.m. on the Edison Bridge on State Route 2 in Danbury Township.

The 82-year-old man has been identified as Burlyn J. FIick, of Port Clinton, troopers said.

Authorities said that Flick was on State Route 2 heading west in the eastbound lanes and crashed into a 2014 Jeep Wranger head-on.

The Jeep's driver, a 17-year-old male from Marblehead, sustained incapacitating injuries in the crash. An 18-year-old female from Norwalk who was in the Jeep also sustained incapacitating injuries, troopers said. The teens were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Flick was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation.
