CLEVELAND — The Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services says a coding error was responsible for unemployment checks being deposited without names.

Officials said the direct deposit payments sent to the financial institutions between Saturday and Monday were put into the correct bank accounts but without names.

Future payments should not be impacted by this situation, according to a spokesman.

ODJFS is reaching out to financial institutions to ensure they process direct deposits.

Officials said any rejected payments will be reprocessed.
