Gabby Giffords brings gun saftey bus tour through Ohio

Former U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords is bringing her bus tour backing gun safety legislation to Ohio this weekend.

Giffords will be in Cleveland Saturday afternoon to campaign for candidates who support gun legislation.

She'll be joined by former Democratic governor Ted Strickland who's running for the U.S. Senate in Ohio.

Giffords survived an assassination attempt in 2011 in Arizona. Half of her body remains paralyzed and she has a speaking disorder.

Giffords was attacked and shot in the head by Jared lee Loughner, leaving her permanently injured with speaking difficulties. She recently spoke that the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, saying: "Speaking is difficult for me, but come January I want to say these two words: Madame President." 

She's making just one appearance in Ohio, but the bus tour will make stops in Toledo, Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus.
