An Ohio man has been convicted of fatally shooting a woman whose slaying is one of several deaths and disappearances that have troubled a southern Ohio city.
A jury in Chillicothe deliberated about three hours Friday before finding 38-year-old convicted sex offender Jason McCrary guilty of murder in the May 2015 shooting death of Timberly Claytor.

Police say McCrary shot Claytor three times in the head and left her body next to an abandoned building in Massieville, about 50 miles south of the state capital of Columbus.
The case has been featured in "The Vanishing Women," a nationally-televised documentary focusing on the unsolved cases of five Ross County women who either disappeared or were found dead.
McCrary testified that another man shot Claytor.
He'll be sentenced Aug. 12.
