More than 100 people will be laid off this spring when Worthington Industries shutters its plant near Wooster.

According to The Daily Record, the company will consolidate its oil and gas operations to move them to another facility in Bremen, Ohio.

The company plans to close the facility by the end of May.

Nearly 80 of the 122 employees at the plant were offered the option of transferring to Bremen, The Daily Record reported. Individuals who chose not to transfer will be offered outplacement services and other benefits.

According to the Worthington Industries website, the company is a leader in the "diversified metal manufacturing business."
