Senator Sherrod Brown ( D-Ohio) called President Trump a "racist" during an interview on Meet the Press Sunday.

In an interview with Chuck Todd, Brown said that Trump's early life and his reaction to Charlottesville suggests that Trump is a "racist."
Brown says "I think this country hasn't dealt well with the issues of race. We have a president who is a racist."
He added, "He built his political career knowing what he was doing on questioning the legitimacy and birthplace of the president of the United States.
Brown also said Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam should resign after admitting to wearing blackface during medical school. Northham later reversed course, saying he was not either of the men in the controversial photo.
