COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State Parks is mourning the loss of its K-9 Officer named Ranger.
Ranger served alongside his partner, Natural Resources Officer Jason Lagore, from 2011 until 2018.
In his time serving as a K-9 Officer, Ranger assisted with more than 20 cadaver finds and numerous drug finds.
Ohio State Parks said Ranger received a recognition of lifesaving for locating a missing person.
The Ohio Division of Wildlife issued its condolences to Officer Lagore and those who worked with Ranger.
