Troopers: Marion County man arrested for 7th OVI offense

SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A Marion man who crashed a car on Monday was arrested at the scene for his seventh OVI offense, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on Jan. 3 on State Route 98 in Scott Township, Marion County.

The man has six prior OVI convictions, according to OSHP. Authorities said that they have requested a felony-level OVI charge be handed down through the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.

Authorities responding to the crash said that the man showed signs of impairment. He was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
