LORDSTOWN, Ohio — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted are taking a private tour of the new Lordstown Motors plant on Wednesday as they got a look at the 2020 Endurance All-Electric Pickup truck.

Their visit comes a day before Vice President Mike Pence is scheduled to take a tour of the plant.
DeWine and Husted are expected to address the media at around 3 p.m.
After General Motors shuttered its production at the facility, Lordstown Motors Corp. acquired the 785-acre, 6.2 million-square-foot facility in November 2019.
In May, a fleet management company based in Westlake signed a letter of intent to purchase 900 electric pickup trucks from the truck manufacturer.
According to DeWine's office, the entire visit will abide by safety and social distancing guidelines issued by the Ohio Department of Health.
