Two people were injured in a house fire early Saturday morning in Maple Heights on the city's southeast side.
According to authorities, the fire started around 5 a.m. at a residence on the 16800 block of Broadway Avenue.
Multiple fire departments from nearby cities responded for mutual aid.
Authorities said one victim — who had been severely burned — was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center. The second victim was taken to University Hospitals Bedford Medical Center with minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
