WOOSTER, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred in Plain Township in Wayne County on Friday afternoon.
Deputies received report of a crash on West Old Lincoln Way east of Bell Road around 1:52 p.m.
A man in a 1998 Chevy K1500 pick-up truck was traveling west on West Old Lincoln Way when his vehicle drifted off the road, struck a guardrail, flipped and landed in a creek, deputies said.
The driver of the pick-up truck, later identified as 21-year old Adam Michael, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.
It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
