The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially signed rookie point guard Kay Felder, said General Manager David Griffin.

Felder is an undersized, but electric, guard out of Oakland University. He stands 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighs around 176 pounds. He was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 54th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. The Cavaliers acquired his rights on draft night.

Felder, a Detroit native, was the only player in the country to rank in the top five in scoring, at 24.4 points per game, and assists, at 9.3 points per game. His assist rate was ranked first in the nation.

During the Las Vegas Summer League, Felder played in all seven games with six starts for the Cavaliers. He averaged 15.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.4 steals in 29.9 minutes per game.
