The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed a deal with Chris "Birdman" Andersen, according to General Manager David Griffin.
The details long-rumored signing have not been released, per league and team policy.
Andersen, who stands about 6 feet 10 inches and weights around 245 pounds has career averages of 5.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks over 683 games with Denver, New Orleans, Miami and Memphis. His career field goal percentage is .533, and he has shot at least .500 from the field each of the last eight seasons.
Andersen has been a defensive force for his entire career. In 2013, he won an NBA Championship with the LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat. During the team's title run, he set an NBA Playoff record by shooting .807 in the postseason.
Andersen will wear number 00 for the Cavaliers.
