Cavaliers guard Mo Williams will retire, General Manager David Griffin announced at Cavs Media Day on Monday.
Williams tweeted last week that he was coming back for one more year.
Williams has been with the Cavs since 2015 and previously played with the team from 2008-2011.
He started his professional NBA career with the Utah Jazz from 2003-2004. He then went on to play for the Milwaukee Bucks from 2004-2008, then the Cavs, moved on to the Los Angeles Clippers from 2011-2012, went to the Portland Trail Blazers from 2013-2014, played with the Minnesota Timberwolves from 2014-2015, and then went to the Charlotte Hornets before returning to the Cavs.
In college, Williams played for the University of Alabama. He was then selected in the second round of the 2003 NBA draft as Utah's 47th overall pick.
