The Cleveland Cavaliers will open the 2017-18 season on Tuesday, October 17 at Quicken Loans Arena against the Boston Celtics.

The game will be shown on national TV at 8 p.m.

The season opener against last year's Eastern Conference Finals opponents will mark the eighth time in nine years the Cavs will tip off the season at The Q.

The Cavs are scheduled to play 17 weekend home dates during the season: five Friday games, seven Saturday games and five Sunday games.

The Cavs will appear in at least 39 nationally televised games, 20 of which will originate from downtown Cleveland at The Q. These games include:

FOX Sports Ohio will broadcast a maximum of 70 regular season games on television, including all games that are not nation TV exclusives.

For the 14th time in franchise history, the Cavaliers will play on Christmas Day when they visit the Golden State Warriors in a 2017 NBA Finals rematch on ABC at 3 p.m. ET. The teams will meet again when the Cavs host the Warriors for an MLK Day matchup on January 15 at 8 p.m ET on TNT.

The Cavs will open the season with seven of their first 11 games at The Q.
